Operational Information

The Magellan Charter School essentially operates on a traditional calendar. With the exception of a few teacher workdays, holiday breaks are generally consistent with the Wake County Public School System. A link to our current calendar is provided at the top of this page. The school hours are 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Students may arrive at school between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. The Magellan Charter School is home to students grades 3-8.

Lunch Schedule

Lunch Time Students provide their own lunch and may eat in the classroom or outside. Periodically, pizza and other food items are sold for class and school fund-raising activities.

Car Pools

One of the key ways our school allocates funds for academics is by relying on parents to supply transportation for their children to and from school. MaP aids parents with carpool information to assist in their planning for transportation.
